FlightPath Home summarizes retained aircraft-track activity near a home and provides modeled sound context from publicly recorded flight data. It does not measure sound at the property. We built it to collect as little about you as possible. This page describes everything the app sends, stores, and never touches.
When you analyze an address or view nearby live traffic, the app sends that location's precise latitude and longitude to our server in an encrypted HTTPS request body. We use it to find recorded flights near that point. The app has no user accounts, and we do not use the coordinates for advertising or tracking.
For live nearby traffic, our server forwards the requested coordinates and radius to adsb.lol so it can return aircraft currently near that point. adsb.lol therefore receives those request details and connection information from our server and handles them under its own privacy practices. Historical report calculations use our local flight-track database and do not forward the requested coordinates to that data provider.
Address search, reverse-geocoding, and map-rendering features are provided by Apple. The address text, coordinates, or map region needed for those features are processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.
When the app requests current weather, the device connects directly to api.weather.gov with the identifier of a nearby airport weather station. That station identifies a coarse area derived from the selected location, and NWS receives normal connection information such as the device IP address. NWS handles the request under its Privacy Policy.
The API may keep the coordinates and computed result in process memory to answer an identical repeat request. After six hours an entry is no longer used to answer requests; a background cleanup normally removes the expired entry from memory within the following minute, or it disappears when the process restarts. This cache is not written to our flight-data database. Application access logging is disabled so request bodies are not written to the API access log. Our hosting and network providers necessarily process connection information such as an IP address to deliver and protect the service. For abuse prevention, the API keeps a keyed, pseudonymous in-memory identifier derived from a client IP address, used only for rate limiting; it never stores the raw address in that limiter. After one hour without activity its rate-limit state expires and is no longer carried forward; background cleanup normally removes the stored identifier within the following minute, or it disappears on process restart.
Your saved homes, recent searches, scoring preferences, and settings are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.
To enforce the free monthly lookup allowance, the app keeps a local quota ledger for the current calendar month. It contains at most three queried locations rounded to four decimal places, rather than full addresses. Entries from an older month are removed the next time the app launches or the quota ledger is accessed.
The app also keeps the selected National Weather Service station identifier and its latest observation in a local SwiftData weather cache. An observation older than ten minutes is no longer used; expired weather-cache records are removed the next time the app launches or requests weather. These quota and weather records remain on the device and are also removed if you delete the app.
The app asks for location permission only after an explicit location action you choose. It uses the result to fill in the address field, center a map, or provide location-relative context and, when you request an analysis or live traffic, sends the coordinates as described above. Location is not tracked in the background. Apart from the temporary in-memory cache described above, it is not written to our business database or linked to an account. You can withdraw location permission at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Location Services.
If you save a report image, the app asks for add-only photo access — it can add that one image to your library and cannot read anything in it.
FlightPath Pro is billed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store subscription settings.
No ads, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, no selling of data, no accounts, and no email collection through the app or account signup. Data is disclosed only to the service providers described above when necessary to deliver the feature you request; it is not disclosed for advertising or cross-service tracking.

If you contact us, our email provider processes and stores your sender address and message so we can respond; that communication is handled under Google's Privacy Policy.
